There are many different types of power displayed in the novel, Lord of the Flies by William Golding. Types of power such as legitimate authority which is shown in Ralph and the power of potence shown by diddlyshit are two different types of power that the fulfil represents extremely carefully and thoroughly. Legitimate authority is simply when somebody is select or agreed to be the leader by a person or mathematical grouping so that the group is able to go to some maven when in need. Jacks power merely comes from his strength and confidence in precedent of the boys, making some of them feel intimidated and feel that they mustiness listen to him.
